DR. NASIM RAHMAN

It is not the everyday that a star is born. Dr Nasim Rahman was a pioneer in the field of Obs/Gyn in Pakistan. Pasha clinic is a living tribute to her hard work and dedication.

Dr. Nasim Rahman Graduated in 1957 from Fatima Medical College Lahore, then did her FRCS from Edinburgh In 1962. She was the first graduate of Fatima Jinnah College to do FRCS. She returned to Karachi in 1963 and joined Lady Dufferin Hospital for Six months. It was in 1963 that she established Pasha Clinic as an Obs/ Gyn institute. She joined Civil Hospital Karachi as Assistant Professor in OBS/ GYNAE in 1964 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1972.

Pasha clinic was one of the most reputable clinics in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1980 Dr Nasim Rahman did as fellowship from the Havard University in infertility.

She was one of the leading OBS/GYNAE specialists of her era. She was humble & had a passion for her work. She would treat everyone equally. No matter how tired she was she always had a smile on her face. It is her vision which is carried and spread everyday by the doctors and staff of Pasha Clinic. Her patients and staff still remember her & pray for her.
